Come join me in Matthew

Hello theologians everywhere! I am sorry for the long delay since my last posting. I have so many excuses but nothing that will satisfye even my own disappointment for the delay. I am writing this to invite anyone interested in dialoging with me as I go through a study of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5. Each week I will be posting a file containing an extensive exegesis on sections of this passage. I would really like to create a dialog on this passage.

So please read the exegetical paper located in the "Assorted Works" folder to the right and let's begin unfolding what is perhaps the greatest sermon ever preached!

I loved reading your breakdown of Matthew 5:1-12. I will never look at the Beautitudes in the same way again! I especially liked how you really dove into what the original text meant and explained that. Now I know that I have a lot more praying to do to truly become "gentle, poor in spirit, and mournful" I never really thought of them as meaning what they mean. Thank you for opening my eyes and giving me something to think and pray about!

Thanks Brandon, Traci, Amanda, and our annonymous friend for commenting. I hope we can begin to study the Word together and see how God will change our hearts and lives!
